There are just some things that folks in Georgia have to do every winter. Some of those activities include going to see a light show, celebrating with friends and family and checking out the annual Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl. Just in case you forgot, here are eight unforgettable places to visit in Georgia in the winter!
1. Blood Mountain
Visit the gorgeous Blood Mountain this winter and be amazed! Blood Mountain is the 6th tallest mountain in Georgia and has incredible views from the top.

2. The fields in Habersham County
Take a ride through the countryside and see the beautiful frost of a Georgia winter cover the fields. If you want to make things even cozier, pack a thermos of hot chocolate and munch on chocolate cookies. This winter excursion doesn't cost much, but it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
3. Cloudland Canyon
Visit Cloudland Canyon this winter and see the spectacular frozen falls. Winter only enhances the beauty of the natural Georgia wonder. The sunsets will astound you, and trails will fill you with happiness. Pay a visit to Cloudland Canyon and see why some folks say it's the most beautiful canyon in America.
4. Savannah
Make sure you visit Savannah this winter. There may not be snow and frost covering everything like in other parts of Georgia, but you'll always have a magical time! 5. Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl

6. Chattahoochee National Forest
The gorgeous Chattahoochee National Forest is located in Fanin County. If we do happen to get a Georgia frost or snow, you're definitely going to want to visit this place. If you really want to enjoy this place, spend a night in The Bear Affair Cabin and make a whole weekend out of it! This welcoming place has everything you could need for a lovely winter getaway.
7. On top of Springer Mountain
Visiting any mountain in Georgia during the winter season is sure to be an adventure, but nothing quite tops this one. Springer Mountain is home to sweeping panoramic views that are particularly gorgeous during winter. And the best part? This short and sweet journey is only two miles long. Don't miss out on one of the most spectacular display, the Christmas lights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The spectacular light displays seen in this garden are sure to please any audience.
