This mountain town is one of the best small towns in Georgia, and it's full of scenery and fun attractions that the whole family can appreciate.

This area is one of the most stunningly beautiful regions of the state, and there are countless trails in Dahlonega, GA that are worthy of exploration.

For today's wine and waterfall trip in Georgia, we'll focus on the DeSoto Falls Trail.

This out-and-back trail is about two miles in length, but considered easy difficulty due to very little elevation gain.

The trail only takes about 45 minutes to explore, and you'll get to see two beautiful waterfalls.

After stretching your legs on the trail, drive about 10 miles south into Dahlonega proper and you'll find Kaya Vineyard and Winery.

You'll find tons of wineries in Dahlonega now. Kaya was one of the first wineries in the area and remains among the largest.

Enjoy mountaintop wine tasting, a menu of picnic delights, and gorgeous views.

If you decide you can't bear to leave Kaya Winery, there are even cottages where you can stay on-site!
