That's exactly how we feel about the majestic trees from Edward Medard Conservation Park in Florida. Extending along 1,284 acres between Brandon and Plant City, this park is a true hidden gem. With scenic hiking trails and tons of wildlife viewing, there is so much to see here. But the real treat is the massive oak trees that are out-of-this-world.

The Edward Medard Park in Plant City, Florida was developed back in the 1970s to become one of Hillsborough County’s largest regional parks.

The 700-acre reservoir is used for a wide variety of activities, from canoeing and kayaking to boating and fishing.

But perhaps the biggest draw for this entire park are the giant trees throughout, many of which have roots growing above ground!

Visitors will be able to hike through the thick, dense forest of oak trees, enjoying the uniqueness of the root systems.

Seemingly out of a fairytale storybook, these trees are otherworldly, so make sure to bring your camera along for the visit.

You can bring a tent or an RV and camp in the park, too - the campsites are on a first-come, first-serve basis and vary in price depending on your accommodation.

With barbecue grills, hiking trails, canoe rentals, and boat ramps, you’ll be able to enjoy every facet of this park when you visit.
