This Easy Fall Hike In Delaware Is Under 2 Miles And You’ll Love Every Step You Take
Alapocas Run State Park in Delaware offers a scenic fall hike with unique cliffs and vibrant foliage.
Delaware is a beautiful state, and in the fall, it lights up with color! One upstate hike that's worth taking is right in Alapocas Run State Park, and you'll truly enjoy walking along the creek, by the cliffs, and along the gorgeous, wooded trails.
The beautiful Alapocas Woods trail is just shy of a 2 mile loop, and it shows off some of the most unique sights in Delaware.
The stunning colors of fall will take this hike truly memorable, so I recommend trekking in October.
The cliffs throughout the park are a sight you rarely see in the First State!
As the trees around them change shades, you'll notice the colors of the bluffs changing, as well.
The trail follows the Brandywine Creek for a bit, down near the old Bancroft Mills.
Bancroft Mills is a unique piece of Delaware history. Marred by declining industry and several fires, some of these ruins have been turned turned into apartments.
Though this trail is just 1.8 miles long, you'll feel like you've truly gotten away from Wilmington's hustle and bustle.
With scenery like this, it's no wonder than Alapocas Run was named An Incredibly Unique Park That's Right Here In Delaware's Own Backyard! You can find this paradise at 1914 W Park Dr., Wilmington, DE 19803.
