1. Buttermilk Falls, Plymouth
Buttermilk Falls is one of the most eye-catching waterfalls in Connecticut to begin our trip. A 55-foot drop allows the water to tumble through a series of horsetails, cascades, and slides. The surrounding hemlock grove and abundance of ferns add to the ethereal quality of this spot.
