You’ll Be Pleased To Hear That Connecticut’s Upcoming Winter Is Supposed To Be More Mild Than Last Year’s

The Old Farmer's Almanac predicts a milder winter with near-normal snowfall and above-average precipitation for Connecticut.

With summer still hanging on and so many good beach days left in the season, it's hard to start thinking about the winter ahead. The great people at the Old Farmer's Almanac have just released their upcoming winter prediction and we think you'll be really excited about the forecast for Connecticut.

If the cold temperatures had you down last year, you'll be glad to know that this year's winter is predicted to milder than last year throughout the state.

The Old Farmer's Almanac forecasts that the 2018-2019 winter will have near-normal snowfall and above average precipitation.

The coldest periods won't hit until late December into mid-January. We'll get two other cold snaps from late January through early February and again from mid-February to the latter part of the month. If you are planning a tropical getaway, these are the times to escape!

For those of you who love snow, don't sell your skis and sleds quite yet, we are still expected to get some of the white stuff before winter's end.

The snowiest times are predicted to be in early January, early to mid-February, and mid-March. If you love a white Christmas, keep your fingers crossed.

While we usually look forward to sunnier skies in April, The Old Farmer's Almanac is forecasting that early April will be snowier than either November or December.

No predictions can be 100% guaranteed, but overall we can expect winter to be milder than it was last year in the Northeast and that is certainly cause for a little celebration!
