Located in Hamden, Connecticut, this trail is inside Sleeping Giant State Park. The park gets its name from two miles of mountain tops that look like a giant sleeping on its side.

The trail itself is well maintained, wide, and filled with gravel. There's plenty of space for people to spread out on the trail, and the incline is gradual.

The entire trail is only 1.6 miles long, one way. You will be hiking up the side of Mt. Carmel, and will ascend approximately 616 feet.
