We are lucky to have so many waterfalls to chase in Connecticut. Some are easier to access than others but even if you don't have time for a long extended trek into the woods, you can still see some of these beauties up close with little hiking at all. At Kent Falls State Park, you can practically drive right up to a spectacular waterfall which is located just a short walk from the parking lot.

You'll be able to hear Kent Falls before you see the magnificent cascades. But don't worry, walking the short, accessible, paved path takes barely any time at all.
The falls drop over 250 feet with gorgeous cascades, plunges, horsetails, and pools. During autumn, when the leaves display their bold changing colors, the falls become a scenic oasis.
A terraced area right next to the waterfall makes it easy to sit and enjoy the mist on your face. Bring a picnic and take in lunch with an amazing view.
While the lower falls are spectacular, there's more. Take the 1/4 mile staircase hike to check out the rest of this natural wonder.
The staircase path winds right alongside the waterfall so you can gain views of even more of the cascades.
