You’ll Want To Spend All Day At Big Dominguez Canyon, A Waterfall-Fed Pool In Colorado

Located just south of Grand Junction, the Big Dominguez Canyon is a stunning swimming hole, and all-natural pool made even better by the cascading waterfall.

Surrounded by larger-than-life cliffs, there is no better place to spend a hot summer day than the Big Dominguez, thanks to both the cool water and natural shade.

In addition to the picture-perfect swimming hole, the Big Dominguez Canyon - which encompasses an impressive 66,000 acres - is also home to a campground, plus can't-miss trails varying in difficulty and jaw-dropping views as far as the eye can see.

As if you needed another reason to explore the area, the Big Dominguez is also home to intricate Native American petroglyphs and archaic rock shelters.

The swimming hole at Big Dominguez Canyon can be accessed 20 miles south of Grand Junction via Route 50 and the Bridgeport Trailhead.
