Letha House Park is a gorgeous little park tucked away in Spencer, Ohio.

This dreamy park features a tributary of the Black River and forested grounds that are straight out of a fairytale. The countryside surrounding the park is quaint and lovely; a true scenic getaway in one of Northeast Ohio's loveliest counties.

The restored wetlands and forested trails are some of the main draws for visitors to the park.

The park spans 203 acres, offering plenty of lovely space for you to explore.

Whether you're picnicking on the seven-acre lake or exploring some of Letha House's trails, you're sure to be greeted with beauty galore.

Though lovely by day, the landscape hides a secret that can only be experienced at night.

The park is home to a charming observatory operated by the Cuyahoga Astronomical Association, and it is too fascinating and too close to home to not visit.

Since 2001, visitors have gazed up at the heavens from the comfort of this cozy park. Visitors are encouraged to gaze at deep sky objects, and the knowledgeable members of the Cuyahoga Astronomy Association make the entire experience fun and educational.

Mark your calendar for July 14, August 18, September 15, and October 6, 2018, because the observatory opens to the public on these nights.

Members will set up telescopes in and around the observatory and welcome visitors to gaze up at celestial sky.

Public nights are free and fascinating for ages 10 to 110, and you're sure to learn tons of information during your visit.

Bring a flashlight with a red beam if you can, as white light can ruin dark-adapted vision. When the sun goes down, this landscape transforms in the most magical way, and you truly won't want to miss a chance to enjoy it.

While the telescopes are dependent on clear conditions, there will also be fun demonstrations and snacks available to visitors in the park's shelter.

Starry, Starry Nights at Letha House run from 9 to 11 p.m. on select nights, making it a perfect getaway for night owls and those with challenging schedules.

You'll be treated to incredible views during your visit, and this is truly an experience every Clevelander must enjoy at least once.
