The Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge is home to the world's largest stand of Cahaba lilies. This is the wildlife refuge's most unique feature.

These lovely flowers are found in the shoals of the Cahaba River, which flows through the central region of Alabama.

Each year, the Cahaba lilies bloom from early May to late June. People travel from near and far to witness this incredible scene.
