Have A Memorable Stay At Rainbow Ranch Lodge In Montana, A Former Working Cattle Ranch

The Rainbow Ranch Lodge in Gallatin Gateway offers luxurious accommodations with historic charm near Big Sky and Yellowstone National Park.

Life in Montana is pretty fantastic, which is why many Montanans choose to vacation close to home. We've got some seriously unique places to stay here in the Treasure State, including a former working cattle ranch that's been converted into luxurious lodging. And the Rainbow Ranch Lodge is a perfect place for a relaxing staycation.

The Rainbow Ranch Lodge is located in Gallatin Gateway in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

It's perfectly situated near Big Sky and Yellowstone National Park, making it a popular destination in any season.

The property was originally constructed in 1919, when it was used as a cattle ranch by the Lemon family.

Travelers who were passing through eventually started asking for a place to stay, and the Lemon family started renting out rooms and cooking guest meals.

The lodge was eventually called The Halfway Inn because of its location halfway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone.

It served as a hub for the local community and travelers alike until 1946, with services expanding to include a gas pump, store, and smokehouse. When the new owners purchased it, they closed down all businesses except the inn.

These days, the lodge is a welcoming respite for Montanans and out-of-staters alike.

And even though a devastating fire in 2008 destroyed the main lodge, it was beautifully rebuilt and still maintains its historic charms.

The lodge has won numerous awards, and for good reason.

When you visit, you can expect to enjoy world-class dining and fantastic accommodations. The guest rooms and suites are spacious, comfortable, and full of all the comforts of home.

The on-site restaurant and bar is a fantastic place to hang out, and you can order breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.

This means you don't even have to leave the property to have a fantastic vacation.

Staying at The Rainbow Ranch Lodge isn't cheap, but it's well worth the splurge.

Rates vary depending on the season, but you can get a great room for around $250 in the winter.

Add a stay at this beautiful lodge to your Montana bucket list - you'll leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.
