Enjoy Fine Dining In A Former Schoolhouse At Madison Crossing Lounge In Montana

West Yellowstone is known as a gateway to Yellowstone National Park. It also happens to be a charming little town with some surprisingly delicious restaurants. Madison Crossing Lounge is an especially delightful place to dine. Not only is the cuisine fantastic, but the location has quite a history.

Madison Crossing is a unique shopping complex located in the heart of West Yellowstone.

But back in 1918, the building looked like this.

This was the site of the first West Yellowstone School, built over a century ago. The restaurant is currently located in the school's former first-grade classroom.

Unlike some restaurants in West Yellowstone, the Madison Crossing Lounge is open all year.

The menu rotates seasonally, depending on what's available locally, but you'll always find plenty of classics on the menu.

If you're really hungry or you're dining with friends, order some Bison Nachos.

They come topped with bison chorizo, black beans, cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, jalapeños, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, and tasty house-made salsa.

Recently, the Lounge started hosting Tropical Saturday, where you'll find special delicacies like Hawaiian BBQ Pork...

...and on Lounge Wednesdays, you can enjoy some creative appetizers and drinks that are specially priced.

This is a House-Smoked Pheasant Crostini, and it tastes even better than it looks.

You'll be full after your meal here, but that doesn't mean you should pass on dessert.

These Chocolate Crinkle Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches deserve to be savored.

The Madison Crossing Lounge is currently open Monday - Saturday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
