The enchanting Birch Lake Trail is a six-mile, moderately challenging hike you'll find in the heart of the Jewel Basin.

To avoid the snow, try to hike it between late June and early October.

While hiking six miles isn't exactly easy, this trail isn't overly strenuous, despite its elevation gains.

You'll have a long, slow series of climbs and switchbacks that will slowly take you to the top.
