Everyone In Missouri Should Visit This Epic Flea Market At Least Once
Flea markets offer a bit of something for everyone, whether you’re an antique collector or just shopping on a budget. Depending on its size, you can spend a whole day perusing through each and every aisle. Flea markets have always been a favorite of mine, because it was and still is, an activity my father and I enjoy together. My best piece of advice is to be patient, because you never know what kinds of treasures you’ll find!
With over 15k likes on Facebook, the Rutledge Flea Market is extremely popular to not only Missourians, but people across the Midwest region. On-site camping with bathrooms and showers are available for vendors and buyers for a small fee.
A lot of the antiques you'll find will take you back to the good old days. Vintage tin and neon signs make up a lot of the throwback items you'll come across.
Flea markets have more than just antiques. Some of the vendors are able to buy their goods at wholesale prices or find bulk items on clearance. This is good news for customers looking to save a buck whether it be on tires, bedding or toiletries.
The great thing about flea markets is that you never know what you're going to get. It's almost like a treasure hunt and if you find a rare vinyl album or discontinued action figure, then you hit it big.
Get your Christmas shopping done a little early by finding some of your gifts here. Makers from all over the region come to sell their goods to the public.
There are several concession vendors throughout the grounds that serve breakfast, lunch and snacks if you plan on spending the day here.
The Rutledge Flea Market takes place every second week of the month, March-October. This October will be their last flea market until spring, so make sure you make a trip before they close for winter!
