What’s old is new again…at the former Magnolia Hotel! After being closed for quite some time, the historic hotel re-opened in spring 2022, but not as a hotel. It’s now an upscale restaurant that dishes up spectacular steak, superb seafood, and eclectic specials.
In April 2022, the former Magnolia Hotel in Biloxi re-opened as Field’s Steak and Oyster Bar, adding a new chapter to the building’s long, colorful story.
Built in 1847, the Magnolia Hotel was one of several resort-style lodges on the Gulf Coast. Today, it’s the only surviving antebellum hotel on the coast.
The owner is from the South but attended culinary school in New York. As a result, the menu features a unique mix that’s promised to “tantalize and please any palate.”
So, did you know about the opening of Field’s Steak and Oyster Bar in Biloxi? Already dined at the hotel-turned-restaurant? If so, how was it? Tell us!
This isn’t the only old building in the state that’s found new life as a restaurant. The Gallows Bar is another.
