What’s old is new again…at the former Magnolia Hotel Biloxi! After being closed for quite some time, the historic hotel re-opened in spring 2022, but not as a hotel. It’s now an upscale Mississippi restaurant that dishes up spectacular steak, superb seafood, and eclectic specials. In April 2022, the former Magnolia Hotel in Biloxi re-opened as Field’s Steak and Oyster Bar, adding a new chapter to the building’s long, colorful story.

Built in 1847, the Magnolia Hotel was one of several resort-style lodges on the Gulf Coast.

Today, it’s the only surviving antebellum hotel on the coast.

Of course, its age and history are no longer the most notable things about the building.

Since its transformation, it’s the upscale setting and fantastic fare that set it apart.

The owner is from the South but attended culinary school in New York.

As a result, the distinctive restaurant menu here features a unique mix that’s promised to “tantalize and please any palate.”

Steaks are front and center on the menu.

Each hunk of beef is hand-butchered and wet-aged, and among the best steaks in Mississippi.

Fresh seafood is also plentiful.

And true to the restaurant’s name, there’s an oyster bar.

In addition to menu staples, there are weekly specials.

Sometimes it's delicious pizza.

Equal parts innovative and fresh...

...the specials are made using locally sourced ingredients and a whole lot of creativity.
