Take A Hike To A Mississippi Waterfall For A Super Scenic Adventure

Even though Mississippi has the reputation for being a fairly flat state, there are actually around 50 waterfalls cascading through the Magnolia State! Actually, many of them are found in this one special spot. If you’re on the hunt for s super scenic hike that the entire family can enjoy, then consider heading over to the Clark Creek Natural Area, where you’ll find a Mississippi waterfall or two as well as some gorgeous views.

With more than 700 acres to explore, the Clark Creek Natural Area is a nature lover’s playground.

The park is home to roughly 50 waterfalls, with some of the biggest waterfalls cascading up to 30 feet!

The landscape here is very unique. As you make your way underneath the canopies of hardwoods, pines, and magnolias, you’ll come across some of the most interesting landscapes in Mississippi.

Tishomingo State Park gets all the glory for its unusual rock outcroppings, but Clark Creek Natural Area is just as beautiful and since it’s a bit of a hidden gem, you might even find you have the trails all to yourself!
While the trails are rated as fairly easy, the majority of the trail is primitive and since you’re up against the bluffs, it can be a bit uneven.

There are also stairs, so maybe leave the strollers behind for this hike.

Just be careful, those rocks can be slippery and you're in a very remote area, so use your best judgment!
