Though the 1950s ended more than 60 years ago, the era still lives on for many people around the world – even those too young to have experienced the ’50s for themselves. Here in Minnesota, one of the best ways to experience eras of the past is to visit a decade-themed restaurant. One of our favorites is a fantastic ’50s-themed restaurant that will help you revisit the glory days. Take a look:
Daddy-O's Cafe is a charming spot in Elk River, Minnesota. You'll find it at 709 Main St. NW, Elk River, MN 55330. It's about 35 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
You can't go wrong with an all-American burger. Go for the California Burger, topped with lettuce and tomato, or the hearty Big Daddy Classic. It has cheese, six slices of bacon, lettuce, and tomato over two patties!
Other sandwich options are great, too. Try a chicken sandwich, a BLT, or even a special grilled cheese called the Big Bopper. Each is served with perfectly crisp fries.
