If Pasta Is Your Love Language, You’ll Be In Heaven At Roman Village In Michigan
Are you a pasta lover? If so, let me tell you about one of the best pasta restaurants in Michigan: Roman Village in Dearborn. This local gem has been serving authentic Italian Cuisine since 1964.
I've been living in Michigan for almost three years now and one thing that almost everyone I talk to asks me is, "Have you been to Roman Village yet?".
I hate disappointing folks, but I have to when I answer this question. I haven't had the chance to eat at this celebrated pasta restaurant in Michigan, but based on everything I've seen and heard, it is a literal pasta lover's dream.
What makes this Dearborn staple a pasta lover's dream? Well, first off this classic Italian spot has an absolutely stacked menu.
On your visit to Roman Village in Dearborn, Michigan, you'll start with appetizers like arancini (delicious little rice balls), stuffed mushrooms, and the Italian restaurant standard bruschetta.
Roman Village doesn't stop at your typical pasta restaurant appetizers, though. They also offer some original options like a yummy-sounding Parmesan Brulée Dip and two different kinds of calamari.
One of the things I'm most excited to try is something I personally don't see in restaurants very often. This Michigan pasta restaurant is well-known for its polenta.
Roman Village's polenta comes topped with both Italian Sausage and a meat sauce. Sounds like a strong, hearty start to a meal.
Don't get carried away with the appetizers, though, because pasta is where this Michigan pasta restaurant truly shines. Pictured above is the restaurant's famous Spaghetti Carbonara, which was inspired by friend of the restaurant Andrea Bocelli (who once prepared it in the restaurant's kitchen).
Each and every noodle at this Dearborn pasta lover's dream is made in-house, as are the delectable sauces and gravies. Roman Village offers familiar pasta shapes, like angel hair and linguine topped with traditional marinara and alfredo sauces.
What makes this pasta restaurant in Michigan special, though, is its more unique pasta offerings. The shell-shaped pasta pictured above is called Covatelli Bolognsese and features the aforementioned shell-shaped pasta topped with a creamy meat sauce.
Roman Village in Dearborn, Michigan also has a robust basked andstuffed pasta menu, with offerings like lasagna and ravioli. They also have house specialties like Baci- Big Kisses, which is described on their menu as "pasta purses filled with grana padana parmesan cheese, morsels of prosciutto and ricotta cheese in a cream sauce with mushrooms and peas." Sounds dreamy, doesn't it?

Roman Village also boasts some incredible main courses as well, ranging from seafood to lamb shanks. And if you have any dietary restrictions, you can rest easy; Roman Village clearly marks all vegetarian and gluten-free items on its menu.
This pasta restaurant in Michigan is also perfect for special events, offering both indoor and outdoor seating (when the weather's right, of course!) Just imagine relaxing out here with a glass of wine and your favorite pasta dish. Sounds like heaven.
Another thing that makes Roman Village in Dearborn, Michigan a fabulous choice for events is its delectable dessert menu. There's tiramisu two ways, cheesecake and spumoni ice cream that my ceramics teacher tells me is the best that's ever passed her lips.
All of that sounds great and all, but if I'm in one of the best Italian Restaurants in Michigan, I'm going for their homemade cannoli. By the looks of this picture, I'd be making an excellent choice.
Simply choosing to celebrate a milestone (or just enjoy a random meal) at Roman Village in Dearborn is another excellent choice and one I hope I'll be making soon myself. While I'm there, I'll be sure to stop by one of the largest record stores in Michigan, which also happens to be in Dearborn. There is so much to do in Dearborn, in fact, that you could probably make an overnight or weekend stay of it. The Henry is an iconic hotel just a short drive away.
