MA beaches are well-known across New England for their scenic views and sandy shores. Here are a few of the best beaches in Massachusetts for you to plan a visit to:

  • Half Moon Beach, Gloucester, MA: This beautiful crescent moon bay surrounded by a rocky shoreline and sandy stretches of beach is one of our favorite beaches in Massachusetts. It is a little slice of the Tropics right here on the East Coast. The beach is part of Stage Fort Park and there are even lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day until the end of summer.
  • Singing Beach, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA: This iconic New England beach is a little slice of sandy heaven, but that isn't why it gets so much attention. The sand sings! Or, well, more like squeaks. Because of the unique composition of the sand grains they rub together creating a squeaky sound when stepped on. Even without the unique sound of the sand, this beach is incredibly scenic and worth checking out.
  • Siasconset Beach, Nantucket, MA: The beautiful remote island of Nantucket is a popular tourist destination, but this hidden gem beach is not on everyone's radar. It is only a short six-minute bike ride from town making it perfect for a sunny afternoon on the beach or a quick trip to see the sunset. You can also take the Sconset Bluff Walk to see the Sankaty Head Lighthouse.
