An Awesome Maryland Weekend Road Trip That Takes You Through Perfection
There are endless road trips to take throughout Maryland, many offering scenic water views with delicious restaurants along the way. Today we’re featuring a trip that merely takes a weekend, but will fill you with both stunning sights and savory flavors. Gas up the car and enjoy!

What better way to start a trip than by visiting Maryland's capital city? Annapolis has plenty of shops to peruse and be sure to also take a walking tour of the Naval Academy and other nearby historic sites.
For lunch, chow down on homemade classics at Chick & Ruth's Delly. This spot has been around for decades and locals have come to love the hearty breakfast foods and crab cakes.

For dinner, Cantler's Riverside Inn doesn't disappoint. If it's crab season, order some perfectly spiced steamed crabs or choose to partake in other delicious seafood. The rustic water view can't be beat.

Drive just over the bridge to rest your head for the night at Kent Manor Inn. This historic inn is not only beautiful, but it's also surrounded by stunning sights. Awake and enjoy brunch before heading to the next destination.

Before leaving Kent Island, swing by Hemingway's Restaurant for an afternoon cocktail with a view.

Next, head to St. Michaels. This little town has dozens of one-of-a-kind boutiques and there are often local events that are full of fun.
Don't leave St. Michaels without dining at the Crab Claw Restaurant. Add even more seafood to your weekend by ordering steamed crabs, shrimp, or oysters, and eating them waterside.

To round out your day, drive a short distance to Oxford. This dreamy little town includes a ferry ride that's like taking a step back in time. You can also visit the quaint shops and tiny town beach.
End your trip on a sweet note at Scottish Highland Creamery. Folks go crazy for this spot because the ice cream is simply perfect.
