The Tiny Shop In Maine That Serves Homemade Ice Cream To Die For
Spring may only be just arriving, but all this warming of temperatures has us dreaming of the things we’ll do this summer. First on that list is homemade Maine ice cream! There are a lot of places to find it, from Skowhegan (you know which one I’m talking about!) to South Portland. But, we think Toots Ice Cream in North Yarmouth is pretty great!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
One of the coolest things about Toot's Ice Cream is that it's located inside a tiny train car!
The freshest ingredients are used and it's made constantly - so it's always fresh. Even better, Toots is located on a working family farm. Nothing like getting the ingredients right in your back yard!
The flavors are made unique, without being off-the-wall.
Toots is located at 137 Walnut Hill Road in North Yarmouth, Maine. Don’t want to make the trip if they’re dishing up your favorite flavor? You can call them on (207) 829-3723.They’re open every day between Memorial Day and Labor Day. But, they’re also open special hours before Memorial Day and after Labor Day through the close of September.
Another fun summer activity is this special festival that takes place every year. And we’re not just full of hot air! Can you guess what it is?
