The Hike To This Gorgeous Maine Swimming Hole Is Everything You Could Imagine

When the weather gets warms one of our favorite activities is to hike to a swimming hole in Maine. It combines the best of all Maine worlds – great trails and even better lakes and ponds. The trail we’re telling you about today is fun and it offers a great way to build up a sweat. Then, when you’re nice and hot you’ll love the chance to jump in the pond located at the summit.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

You’ll find the trailhead at the following address: Byron Road, unincorporated Township 6, Maine. This is north of Weld and fairly easy to find on a map.
