The Views From The Incredible 2.7-Mile Bold Coast Trail In Maine Are Pretty As A Picture
No matter the season, getting outside in Maine is always a good idea. That means sledding, skiing, fishing, hiking or even just walking. It can mean anything you want! But if you’re looking for something extra-special make your way to Cutler to enjoy one of the most incredible trails in the state. Not near the region? We promise it’s worth the trip!
One of the most beautiful regions of the state is Downeast! While the area might be a bit off-the-beaten-path for some it's certainly worth the trip!
While the route is considered "moderate," it's not impossible. The rating is primarily due to the rocky edges. The good news? There's minimal elevation gain.
And they're just as breathtaking when conditions are foggy and grey. If you love the variety that Maine weather can offer, you'll really appreciate how different this route can be each time to take it.
The Bold Coast Trail can be accessed all year, but people believe it’s best between May and October to avoid any difficult weather. But, of course, it’s Maine so maybe some chill is part of the fun! Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
