Things felt simpler back then. No social media and perhaps a little more kindness, the lives that people led 50 years ago were very different from what we’ve got now. And, while we’re happy to have a lot of what exists today, there’s always something nice about going back and reliving the old days. One fun way to do that is at this 50s-themed diner in Scarborough.

To relive the glory days of the 1950s, head to East Waterboro, Maine for a visit to the Blast From the Past Diner.

Possibly one of the only vintage-themed diners in the state - and definitely one of the only one that's opened year round - this is a must visit.

Fun Fact: the diner was built in Ormond Beach, Florida and sent to Maine to be reassembled in just two days!

The interior of the diner is spot-on when it comes to decor of the era.

From the booth seats to the stools located at the checker-tiled counter.

The menu is what you'd expect at a diner that has just about anything you could want!

Including some things you might not find at a diner outside of Maine - including poutine.

And you'll even be able to order a lobster roll.

Of course, there's more traditional diner fare as well.

And, don't you dare leave without a slice of pie!
