Bring Your Home Grown Veggies To This Unique Maine Restaurant In Exchange For A Free Meal
If you’re like many Mainers and have a garden in your backyard, you’ve likely dealt with the problem of having far more than you can use. It comes with the territory of living in a place with great garden weather for much of the spring and summer. Unfortunately, there’s only so much canning to be done and only so many friends who are willing to take our overages. That’s why we love that one Maine restaurant is taking home grown veggies and turning them into meals. The best part? You get a dish for free. This is what you need to now about the program.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

While they don’t accept your veggie overages in exchange for dinner, you’ll love this little spot in China, Maine. It’s got the best name and it might just make the food that much better.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
