Welcome to Katie’s, a family owned and operated restaurant over in Mid-City.

Leo Leininger was tired of the oil industry and wanted a fresh start, so he opened Katie’s in 1984. It was actually his daughter, Cathy’s idea, and they decided to name the restaurant after her grandmother.
What began as a small little corner lunch restaurant has blossomed into a popular neighborhood eatery that locals just can’t get enough of.

The Leininger family sold the restaurant to the Craig family in 2001, who have taken the Mid-City icon and continued to honor the legacy while making it their own.
From fried seafood to pasta dishes, there's truly something for everyone on the menu here at Katie's.
