Have you ever noticed the huge abandoned hospital on Tulane Ave? It’s truly one of the most iconic buildings in New Orleans, even though it has been abandoned since Katrina.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. Charity Hospital is located in 1532 Tulane Ave.

Many different buildings were used for hospital over the years. The building pictured here was built in 1939.

Over 2,600 beds were inside of this hospital.

It's become one of the most iconic aspects of what is present in New Orleans.

During the storm, the hospital became the epicenter of medical care in New Orleans. What unfolded here during the storm was nothing short of a heart breaking tragedy.

New Orleanians still don't know whether this hospital building will be reused or not.
