There are a lot of reasons to love Natchitoches, and Lasyone’s is one of them.

If you’ve never had one of these Cajun specialties, you’re in for a real treat.
James Lasyone began working on his meat pie recipe in the 1950s. After a few years, word quickly spread about how delicious these little meat pies were.
It didn’t take long for word to get out, and Lasyone’s was thrust into the national spotlight, being featured in magazines, newspapers, and more.
In 2008, the crawfish pie was introduced, taking the traditional meat pie to new levels.
These little handheld pockets of deliciousness are filled with a crawfish stuffing that will make you fall in love at first bite.
While the meat pies are certainly big enough to make a meal of their own, you don’t want to pass up the opportunity to try the many different Cajun items on the menu.
Red beans and rice, gumbo, po’boys, and homestyle burgers are just a few of the items featured.
Lasyone’s is also open for breakfast.
Swap your usual breakfast sausage for a meat pie to jump start your day with a little Cajun twist.
