Escape To Driskill Mountain For A Beautiful Louisiana Nature Scene
When you think of Louisiana landscapes, images of cypress trees, alligators, and bayous probably come to mind. While there are endless trails and parks that will show you the traditional swampy Louisiana views, there’s one hidden trail that will show you a completely different view of Louisiana, and it’s a bird’s eye view, to boot! Let’s check it out.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

You can park at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church and then follow the signs to the trail.

Congratulations, you are now standing at 535 feet above sea level—Louisiana's highest natural summit!

It’s best to tackle this hike during the colder months when the leaves from the trees won’t block much of your view.
