Beautiful views paired with delicious food and a historic charm are all it takes for us to fall in love with this local restaurant, and you will too! Let's check it out.

Welcome to Restaurant Cotton.

Located in downtown Monroe, the restaurant may have opened its doors in 2008, but the building goes back much further.

Located along the Ouachita River, the building has had quite the history.

The J.S. Bloch Building was built in 1893 operated as a saloon before playing host to several businesses throughout the years including a general store, a cafeteria, a bookstore, and a bustling cotton exchange.

While the dining room is certainly stunning, take advantage of the beautiful views if you have the chance to sit on the patio.

The sunsets, in particular, are mesmerizing.

For special occasions, you can rent one of the private dining rooms.

There are four separate dining rooms upstairs that can accommodate anywhere from 5 to 125 guests.

From fresh Louisiana seafood to sizzling steaks, the menu at Restaurant Cotton covers a wide array of flavors.

The menu also changes seasonally, so you know you're always getting the freshest ingredients around.

Their weekend brunch menu is worthy of a splurge.

Several different benedicts pepper the brunch menu as well as southern staples like shrimp & grits and chicken & waffles.

Meatloaf lovers, you better come hungry.

One of their signature dishes, "Not Ya Grammy's Meatloaf" is a perfect plate of comfort food.
