These 7 Small Towns In Louisiana Honor Christmas In The Most Magical Way
It’s the holiday season, which means towns all across the Bayou State are glowing with hundreds of twinkly lights and holiday displays. Here are some of our favorite towns in Louisiana that honor Christmas in the most magical way.

While Monroe may not be considered a small town, there’s one holiday attraction that honors Christmas in the most magical way, and it’s worth a road trip. The Chennault Aviation & Military Museum decorates five trees, one of every branch of the military, and encourages the community to come and bring pictures and mementos to decorate the trees.

This tiny town is home to one of the greatest drive-thru light displays in the state, and that’s Candy Cane Lane. Visitors can drive through a mile-long display of thousands of lights and displays that the entire family will love.

Natchitoches isn’t a small town, but it’s hard to mention Christmas in Louisiana and not mention Natchitoches. Louisiana’s oldest city gets all decked out for the holidays, and it’s one of the biggest and best holiday displays in the country. Stroll up and down Front Street popping in and out of shops, enjoy the lights, and maybe even a famous meat pie or two for a perfect evening.

This little gem in St. Tammany Parish may be known for its artisanal water, but this year they’ve got quite the holiday display that will be up for the month of December.

For a charming Christmas display that won't cost you a dime, head on over to Old Towne Slidell's Griffith Park. This scenic park transforms into a beautiful Christmas light show with their annual Christmas Under the Stars.

Even though it’s in Lafayette, this little village feels just like a small town when you stroll through. Thousands of lights illuminate these historic structures, adding the perfect holiday vibe to the season.
