The Natchitoches Christmas Festival
is entering its 93rd year this season and you won’t want to miss it. This incredible festival attracts thousands of people from all across the country and it's easy to see why. Louisiana’s oldest city transforms into a winter wonderland with more than 300,000 lights plus 100 set pieces on display every evening during the Christmas Season, a six-week period that extends from the Saturday before Thanksgiving until early January.
Head to New Orleans’ City Park to experience quite the holiday display with the annual Celebration in the oaks. For over 30 years, Celebration in the Oaks
is a spectacular holiday light festival with more than a million lights illuminating 25 acres of the park including the Botanical Garden, Storyland, and the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park.
Usually starting at the end of November and running up until Christmas Eve, the American Rose Center transforms into Christmas in Roseland, a dazzling light display with thousands of twinkling lights, displays, and giant Christmas cards that would put even the Grinch into the holiday spirit. Lafreniere Park is the largest park in Metairie, and every year it transforms with thousands of sparkling lights that the whole family will enjoy.
