Iowa has some of the most spectacular sunflower fields in the Midwest – every year the state’s fields explode with color, offering a stunning Hawkeye State photo op that’s hard to beat. Get your camera ready: here’s a tour of five sunflower fields you can visit on a single road trip.

The Sunflower Experience at Pheasant Run Farm is the first stop on this tour - you'll find the field at the junction of Hwy 30 & 131 at the Belle Plaine exit. The friendly flower farm is perfect for families with young kids and you get to leave with a sunflower!

Scarecrow Farm in Lawton is our next stop. When you arrive, be sure to get one of the apple doughnuts. Once you've got that covered, wander through acres and acres of stunning sunflowers and Zinnias.

You can find gorgeous sunflowers at one of Iowa's state parks. The Badger Creek State Recreation Area has a four-acre field that draws lots of visitors every year.

You'll find more than 6,000 apple trees at this sprawling orchard, but today we're here for the sunflowers - they are gorgeous!

Sunflower lovers of all ages will find something to enjoy at Bloomsbury Farm. There are activities for kids, special cocktails for adults and of course, lots and lots of sunflowers!
