The Iowa Steakhouse In The Middle Of Nowhere That’s One Of The Best On Earth
Did you know there’s a tiny, historic Iowa steakhouse that’s been named one of the best in the country? I may be biased, but really, I think it’s one of the best in the world. After all, who knows beef better than Iowans? With nearly 20,000 farms and cattle that greatly outnumber us, we’re kind of well.. the cow capital. If you’re truly a steak lover, you owe it to yourself to have a meal at Archie’s Waeside in the small town of Le Mars.

The tiny town of Le Mars has become a Midwest Foodie destination, thanks to being the Ice Cream Capital of the Country, and home to this delicious steakhouse.

Archie's was awarded a James Beard Foundation award for excellence in cuisine. The award was given for being one of America's Classics's, and one of the finest steakhouses in the country.

The technique was perfected by Archie's founder, Archie Jackson, who worked in meat-packing plants in Sioux City and Los Angeles.

After all, how many small town landmarks can say they've been at the top of national lists? In 2016, Archie's was named one of the top 10 steakhouses in the country, and it consistently tops "Best of Iowa" lists.

With over two dozen wines to choose from, plus some house specialities, Archie's Waeside is known for their deep wine cellar and perfect pairings to go with your epic meal.

Since then, the menu has expanded to offer 12 different cuts of locally sourced meat, plenty of side dishes, and several tasty seafood dishes. Much of the seafood is flown in daily!
