Idaho's only Ice Skating Ribbon can be found in the heart of downtown Caldwell, in the fully decked-out Indian Creek Plaza. A treasured winter tradition for many, this may just be the most beautiful ice skating destination in the Gem State!
The Indian Creek Plaza Ice Skating Ribbon & Rink is officially open for the season. You can visit it Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The outdoor skating destination consists of a ribbon-like pathway that winds around the plaza and eventually culminates into a rink. Old or young, inexperienced or pro - the rink is open to anybody and everybody, and it's an absolute blast.
Since it's outdoors, it's suggested that all skaters bundle up appropriately in heavy coats, hats, and other cold weather gear. It is highly recommended that all skaters wear face masks in order to keep the community safe and healthy from COVID-19.
Winter evenings in Idaho can get downright chilly, but nearby fire pits are available for you to huddle around and keep warm. Surrounded by the brightly-lit plaza, the rink is just the picture-perfect place to spend the evening with loved ones.
General admission to the ice skating ribbon costs $10 and $5 for kids 5 and under ($1 discount for seniors and military.) If you bring your own skates, you can receive a $5 discount! Helmet rentals are free, and the rink also offers ice skate sharpening for $8.
A beautiful setting, plenty of space to roam, and an abundance of holiday lights are the perfect combination for an evening of ice skating with family.
