The Gem State is home to numerous hot springs where you can soak, relax, and wash away the stresses of everyday life. This is one trail that you can enjoy no matter the time of year. However, if you choose to embark on this journey during the winter months, proper shoes and equipment such as snow chains or microspikes are essential.
No matter the season, make sure you have plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen. There is very little shade as you walk along this hiking trail. Also be aware that if hiking this trail in the spring, it can be quite muddy due to the spring thaw and even more challenging to climb.
