This Restaurant In Idaho Serves Every Kind Of French Fry You Can Think Of
We all know what Idaho is most famous for. It’s what immediately comes to mind when you tell anybody from out of state that you live in Idaho. The potato.
As Idahoans, we’re used to getting questions like “So, do you really love potatoes then?” or “Do you, like, only eat potatoes?” Just like any other state, there are people who live here who do not like potatoes. But to be honest…a lot of us really do. A lot. We love eating potatoes and we love eating them in different ways. A restaurant chain in Idaho took that idea and brought it to their menu. So, if you’re a fan of potatoes then you absolutely have to check this place out!
Boise Fry Company has five locations in southern Idaho including three in Boise, one in Meridian, and one in Nampa. Their specialty is bringing you the most incredible fries you've ever tasted! Their motto is "Burgers on the side."
They don't mess around when it comes to fry preparation. They certainly studied up on fry cooking methods in order to settle on a method that is both unique and absolutely delicious.
What makes these fries so good is that they are locally sourced from M&M Heath Farms in Buhl, Idaho. During the frying process, the potatoes retain their nutrients. BFC doesn't peel or add anything to their potatoes as filler. The potatoes are fried in non-GMO sunflower seed oil, which is low in saturated fat.
Most people probably don't have a
favorite potato...But if you do, then this is the place for you! Here you can choose what kind of potato you would like your french fries made out of. Have you ever had a purple french fry before? Now's your chance! Each potato has a different flavor profile, but they are all tasty.
If for some reason you're not feeling like french fries, then you can opt for the equally yummy brussel sprouts! Yes, even the brussel sprouts are perfectly prepared.
Another thing that makes these fries so great is that they come without any processed seasoning or toppings. Instead, you season them yourself with the various homemade seasonings and sauces they provide. There's so many options that it can be hard to choose which ones you want to try!
With over 100,000 variations of fries and toppings, you're sure to have a different fry experience with every visit. Or just until you find the exact right combination that you prefer!
Oh, and their burgers aren't too bad either! Actually, the burgers are just as exciting as the fries. Again, BFC uses local and grass-fed meat (beef or bison) for their burgers, and this is really apparent in the flavor.
If you're a non-meat eater, don't worry! BFC has your back. Their vegan burgers are made of organic black beans and quinoa and they are delicious!
As far as burger toppings go, you can choose one of three preparations (Original, Classic, or The Heat). These preparations are kept simplistic, but with a modernized twist to them to make these burgers truly unique. You've never tasted a burger like this before!
All Boise Fry Company locations are equipped with several drafts from local breweries. It shows that the owners of BFC care about Idaho and Idaho products!
Don't miss out on their awesome happy hour which takes place Monday thru Friday from 4 pm to 6pm. All small fries and draft beers are buy one, get one!
BFC has accumulated many awards including Best Fries and Best Burger by various Boise and Treasure Valley magazines. They were even recognized by Travel & Leisure for Best French Fries in the U.S.! Well, it's only fitting that the perfect place to get your fry fix is right here in Idaho!
