This Old-Fashioned Soda Fountain Is One Of The Most Nostalgic Destinations In Wyoming
While Cody is most often known for its summer rodeo, this Wild West mecca has more than a few legendary restaurants hiding up its sleeve as well. But of all the places to rustle up some grub, Annie's Soda Saloon and Café is an old-fashioned gem and an absolute must for anyone who feels like stepping back in time to the "good ol' days" of malts, fountain drinks, and floats served in a glass. Sip, scoop, and slurp your way back to a bygone era at this tasty soda fountain in Cody!
While this Annie's Soda Saloon only opened its doors in 2016, its location itself is iconic.
The building has a rich history that adds to the soda shop's nostalgic charm. It was once a drugstore, soda fountain, and jewelry store, and the saloon’s owner has done an amazing job of preserving the old-fashioned soda shop tradition.
It's the perfect place to pull up a barstool and enjoy a meal.
The menu is bursting with delicious eats and freshly baked treats.
The Bacon and Jalapeno Popper Panini is a must-try, as is the Roast Beef and French Onion Panini with roast beef, caramelized onions, and gruyere cheese (just to start).
But during Wyoming's hot summer months, the shop comes alive with diners seeking a few sips of something a little extra sweet; specifically, handcrafted ice cream sodas, sundaes, shaved ices, and timeless drinks straight out of yesteryear.
Most are even served in the cutest vintage glasses - fitting for an old-timey saloon!
All ages will appreciate the bevy of tasty offerings here.
For a blast from the past, the Black and White (fudge, seltzer, mallow cream, and vanilla ice cream) and Black Cow (a delicious root beer float with fudge) are always customer favorites.
The restaurant also offers a variety of ice cream sodas, like the Holler Greaser (with lemon soda and coconut pineapple ice cream), but you'll definitely want to try everything at least once.
Or, keep it simple and just enjoy a few scoops of your favorite ice cream. You'll find over a dozen flavors to choose from, ranging from the sweet and salty Caramel Pretzel to indulgent Strawberry Cheesecake and everything in between.
Whether you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or a place to indulge your sweet tooth, Annie’s Soda Saloon is the perfect stop. Next time you’re road-tripping through Cody, stop by and experience the delicious nostalgia for yourself!
In fact, while you're in Cody, this Western-style penthouse is the perfect place to call your home away from home.
