Some of the best BBQ you’ve ever tasted can be found in a place with a little swagger. In Dodgeville, Wisconsin, there’s a restaurant with a name that says it all: Bob's Bitchin' BBQ. This gem of a restaurant serves some of the best BBQ in Wisconsin – savory, tangy, and just a little smoky. It’s worth making the trip to southwest Wisconsin. Here’s why.
Bob's Bitchin' BBQ is located in the Iowa Street Historic District of Dodgeville, the county seat of Iowa County. It’s just a block from the oldest courthouse in Wisconsin.
There’s a lot of history to explore here, but save the time travel for later – live in the present with a plate of Bob’s BBQ!
The story of Bob’s began with a really good sauce. For more than three decades, Bob and Judy Page made BBQ sauce for friends and family.
After selling the sauce in farmers’s markets and retail outlets, they decided to open a restaurant. Big plans were on tap!
Everything in the restaurant is made from scratch back in the kitchen. They use local ingredients whenever possible and they have some great appetizers, soups and salads, and more.
But who are we kidding, we’re not here for a burger. The BBQ is amazing and they serve up all the classics: beef brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis style ribs. All of the BBQ is smoked with hickory wood in-house with a special dry rub.
The best part of a visit to this place is the sauce – you can try them all, tableside! Learn more on the Bob's Bitchin' BBQ website. If you need to work off a few BBQ calories, a stroll in nearby Mineral Point might do the trick.
