It was built in 1893 with Wauwatosa limestone and cream city brick and it was something of a modern wonder, with amenities like fireproofing, electricity, and thermostat controls.

Like a fine wine, the hotel has aged beautifully. It remains a top hotel in the city, even after all these years. A 13-story tower addition was built in the 1960s, helping the building reach new heights.

You’ll want to take the elevator to reach Blu – you’ll find it on the hotel’s 23rd floor. Pass right by the second floor – rumors suggest that floor is haunted!
