The Beach-Themed Restaurant In Wisconsin Where It Feels Like Summer All Year Long

Sand Bar and Island Grill is like a little slice of tropical paradise – complete with a tiki bar and lots of colorful, ocean-inspired décor.

Fittingly, the restaurant is located on the water. More specifically, it’s situated in the Lake Elizabeth marina literally a few feet away from the shore.

A visit is practically guaranteed to put you in a Caribbean state of mind. And that’s no coincidence.

The restaurant’s owner has spent a great deal of time in Florida, so when decorating and furnishing the restaurant, he aimed to recreate the informal, laid-back culture of the area.

And we’d say he definitely achieved his goal. Since opening in 2009, the restaurant has consistently drawn in crowds of hungry patrons.

But it’s not just the atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. The tasty "Florida-inspired" fare is also a big hit.

Fill up on a variety of casual eats, like tacos, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. There are also plenty of seafood dishes.

In addition to menu staples, there are also weekly specials as well as fresh-shucked oysters on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Prefer turf over surf? No problem. The menu features a variety of burgers and sliders.

A drink menu full of fruity drinks only adds to the tropical experience.
