Spring Green General Store in Spring Green is a unique combination of a café and retail store with a hippie vibe and annual music festivals.
Looking for a groovy place to get your grub on? Well, look no further. We found just the place – and it’s the Spring Green General Store. A small-town gem, it’s been referred to as a hippie wonderland. Even better, it’s more than a restaurant. It’s also a store stocked with an eclectic array of merchandise. Take a look:
This is Spring Green General Store. As you probably already guessed, it’s located in the small town of Spring Green, making it far out in more ways than one.
Opened in 1993, it’s housed in a converted cheese warehouse from the early 1900s. It’s come a long way since its days as a cheese haven, which is clear from its outside appearance.
Step inside, and you’ll find an interior that’s as unique as the exterior. You’re also sure to notice the undeniable hippie vibe – and you wouldn’t be alone.
Countless visitors have mentioned the store’s retro feel. It’s even been referred to as a “hippie wonderland.”
Fittingly, Spring Green General Store hosts two annual music festivals – BeatleFest and BobFest.
Both festivals are over a decade old and continually attract tons of people to the small-town spot.
The only thing raved about more than the eatery’s vintage ambiance is the food. Open for lunch and breakfast, the eatery serves up a tasty fare, which includes a little bit of everything.
In addition to menu staples, there are breakfast and lunch specials that change daily.
Aside from daily specials, there are seasonal offerings, like eggnog lattes.
Much more than a groovy place to grab some grub, Spring Green General Store is half café and half retail store.
The eclectic array of merchandise includes everything from clothes and jewelry to groceries and gifts.
So, are you ready to treat your inner hippie to an unforgettably tasty meal?
