Roman-Style Pizza Is A Thing And Harry’s Prohibition Bistro Is The Only Place In Wisconsin You Can Get It

Harry’s Prohibition Bistro in Wisconsin offers unique Roman-style pizza, making it a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts.

Calling all pizza lovers! Only a handful of restaurants around the U.S. offer Roman-style pizza, and (luckily) Harry’s Prohibition Bistro is one of them. Believe us; this is one tasty trend you don’t want to miss. Take a look:

This is Harry’s Prohibition Bistro.

It’s located on the Sheboygan riverfront, which means the food is always accompanied by great views.

One of only a few Wisconsin restaurants certified by The True Neapolitan Pizza Association, Harry’s has long been known for serving up authentic Neapolitan pizza.

And now, it’s becoming known for something else — Roman-style pizza or pizza al taglio.

Harry’s is the first and only restaurant in Wisconsin with staff members certified in making Roman-style pizza.

What's more, Harry's chefs are two of only 100 in the U.S. that have been specially trained in making the pizza by the Roman Pizza Academy.

One thing that sets the new pizza apart from the eatery’s signature pizza is the crust, which is described as “light and airy, yet chewy and crunchy.”

The new kind of crust requires a lot of extra effort. Not only does it take several days for the dough to rise, but it has to be baked three times!

The differences don’t end there, though. Roman-style pizza gets baked in a conventional oven, while Neapolitan pizza gets baked in a wood oven.

It's even cut differently. Instead of a typical pizza cutter, scissors are used because they do a better job of maintaining the crust’s air quality.

There is one thing familiar about the Roman-style pizzas, though. Just like their Neapolitan counterparts, they come topped in a tasty array of fresh, flavorful toppings.

Remember, Roman-style pizza is available on Tuesdays only. However, that could change, so be sure to check Harry’s Facebook for info on current offerings. For more information, call (920) 451-9100. You can also visit the eatery’s website.

Hours of Operation: During the summer (May 1st through Labor Day), Harry’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. In the winter, it’s open Tuesday through Thursday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
