The Frozen Wine Slushies From This Wisconsin Vineyard Are A Delicious Summer Treat

It’s easy to work up a thirst in the Wisconsin Dells – there’s so much to do in this Wisconsin vacation Mecca. There are water parks, golf courses, zip lines, woodland trails, boat rides, souvenir shops, and more. While it’s all a blast, at some point you need to relax and enjoy something cool and refreshing. Fawn Creek Winery is close to all of the attractions in the Wisconsin Dells. It’s located east of the Wisconsin River, about 10 minutes from the heart of the Dells.

Fawn Creek Winery opened in 2011 in an area that’s surrounded by the forests of Dell Prairie. It’s family-owned - three siblings and their spouses operate the winery.

You can enjoy a wine tasting at the winery to sample the best varieties – you can even do a tasting of slushies!

Visitors are encouraged to wander the tranquil property. The estate includes a vineyard, a nine-hole disc golf course, and a forgotten sugar shack. There are also some lawn games for people to enjoy.

Fawn Creek Vineyard has Frontenac, Swenson White, and Prairie Star grapes. These varieties can be grown in Wisconsin’s short grape growing season.

The winery produces semi-dry table reds, semi-sweet to sweet table whites as well as fruit-flavored grape wines like Granny's Gold, a Granny Smith-apple-flavored Riesling. You can enjoy a simple pour, but on a warm day, you may want to sample something a little colder!

The winery is open daily from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Extended hours are available for special events and private parties. It sometimes holds concerts and special events and there’s a pavilion and house available for rent.
