A Local Favorite, Try The Coal Miner Burger At Cafe Diem In West Virginia

If you're like us, you'd appreciate the insight - it's always nice to have a heads up about what's good at a new restaurant. Well, if you want to eat like a local at Cafe Diem in West Virginia, then take it from us: order the Coal Miner Burger.

Cafe Diem is a small restaurant off the beaten path in Rivesville, West Virginia. But ask anyone, and they'll tell you - it's worth the trip no matter how far you have to come because the food is absolutely phenomenal.

Don't take our (or anyone's) word for it though... come on inside to see (and smell and taste) how good this food is for yourself!

Although the whole menu is worth sampling, there is one particular sandwich that Cafe Diem is known for.

Piled high with cheese, bacon, and other tasty toppings, the half-pound Coalminer Burger is a big old plate full of delicious.

Of course, if you're not a coal miner or don't wish to eat like one, there are plenty of other yummy options as well, from sandwiches to crab cakes to country-fried steak and mashed potatoes to fried pickles and just about everything in between.

On Saturdays and Sundays, Cafe Diem even serves breakfast!

Cafe Diem is located at 2408 Paw Paw Creek Road outside Rivesville, about half an hour west of Morgantown. The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Fridays from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cafe Diem is closed on Mondays.
