There Are 3 World-Famous Seafood Restaurants In The Small Town Of Port Townsend, Washington

Port Townsend in Washington is home to three of the best seafood restaurants in the state.

We're fortunate in Washington to have abundant fresh, local seafood. Whether we're shopping for the perfect salmon to grill at home or planning a weekend getaway to the coast for a bit of clam digging, the Evergreen State has plenty of options. Although there are many places to enjoy delicious seafood in our state, there is one small town where the opportunities are plentiful and the cuisine is divine. The sleepy town of Port Townsend is not only one of the most charming places to visit but also boasts three of the best seafood restaurants in Washington.

1. Doc's Marina Grill

Nestled on Port Townsend's Point Hudson, Doc's Marina Grill serves some of the best seafood in Washington.

Elegant without being stuffy, Doc's has a tradition of excellent service, a fun environment, and delicious fresh seafood.

Using only the finest ingredients, Doc's offers a fine dining experience with a laid-back feel. Try the local favorite, Northwest Cioppino, a savory seafood stew featuring salmon, clams, cod, mussels, calamari, and prawns. For a twist on a traditional salmon dish, we recommend the Smoked Salmon Mac & Cheese with house-smoked salmon and pasta in a creamy three-cheese sauce.

When the sun is out, there is no better place to enjoy a meal than on the outside patio with picturesque water views.

2. Silverwater Cafe

Historic downtown Port Townsend is home to Silverwater Cafe, and it doesn't get more charming than this.

Fresh seafood offerings and seasonal cuisine make up the innovative menu at Silverwater.

Indeed, the dishes taste heavenly and are beautifully presented. But besides that, Silverwater Cafe prioritizes community by supporting local farmers, fishermen, winemakers, and more.

A selection of mouthwatering desserts is made in-house.

Our favorite is Silverwater's signature key lime pie with a chocolate crumble crust. Likewise, the spicy carrot cake is a tasty option.

3. Ichikawa Sushi Bar

If you enjoy your seafood in the form of sushi, you're in luck. Ichikawa serves some of the best Japanese cuisine and seafood around and is the only traditional Japanese restaurant in Port Townsend.

Ichikawa prides itself on using the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients.

Sushi entrees are the undeniable stars of the show and include Miso Soup and Zensai Salad.

Chef-prepared dishes meticulously plated and resembling works of art are almost too pretty to eat ... almost!

Can't make up your mind? Try the Chef's Choice Sushi Assortment, a local favorite with a combination of seafood and vegetables.
