Everyone Loses Their Minds Over These Authentic Lobster Rolls In Washington

The Market Fishmonger & Eatery in Edmonds and Seattle is renowned for its authentic East Coast lobster rolls.

If you've spent any time near Edmonds in the last couple of years, you may have heard the buzz about The Market Fishmonger & Eatery. While a casual seafood spot isn't out of the norm for Western Washington, the featured menu item is. It isn't easy to find authentic East Coast lobster rolls here, but this place has managed to perfect them.

The Market Fishmonger & Eatery opened in the summer of 2018 in Edmonds.

Their location, minutes from the Kingston Ferry, Edmonds Beach, and Fishing Pier, is pretty much perfect.

This is the only seafood market in downtown Edmonds, offering a variety of fresh fish and seafood by the pound along with a full food menu.

Owner Shubert Ho thought the location was ideal -- and so far, it has been.

From fresh oysters to fish tacos and crispy fish & chips, you'll find all kinds of delicious delicacies on the menu here ...

... but it's the New England-style lobster rolls that keep people coming back for more.

People come from all over Snohomish County and King County to try them.

Choose between a Maine-style lobster roll, a Connecticut-style crab roll, and a Dungeness crab roll -- they're all delightful.

The Maine-style roll is a cold lobster salad, while the Connecticut-style is warm lobster with garlic butter. The crab rolls are poached with garlic brown butter and topped with Old Bay aoli, and all rolls come with perfectly cooked fries.

Recently, a Seattle location of The Market opened, much to the delight of those who were driving an hour north to get their lobster roll fix.

This location is inside the Seattle Art Museum, across from Harbor Steps.

The Market's new Seattle location includes many of the favorites from the Edmonds menu, but the larger kitchen will allow for some new dishes -- and this spot has a full bar.
