It all started back in 2003, when a student at the University of Pennsylvania named Seth Berkowitz started baking and delivering cookies to his fellow college students.

It wasn't long before it became clear that this part-time gig could easily become a full-fledged business (and we're also guessing it made Seth a lot of friends in the process).

Insomnia Cookies' first retail store opened in Syracuse, New York, in 2004.

Popularity skyrocketed (naturally), and now there are 155 locations nationwide.

In Washington, you'll find Insomnia Cookies locations in both Pullman and Bellingham.

Most locations set up shop in college towns since they tend to have a lot of night owls.

Choose from just a couple of cookies and milk, a customized dozen (or two), or a mouthwatering cookiewich.

These ice cream sandwiches are downright addictive.

Both Insomnia Cookies locations are open from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. daily, with delivery starting at 10 a.m.

Whether you need a late night study break or your at-home date night could use a little dessert, it's pretty fantastic that you can have freshly baked cookies (and milk!) delivered right to your door.

And on special occasions (or when someone just needs some cheering up), you can send a tasty cookie cake.

The cakes come in two sizes, and they taste even better than they look.
