The Best Biscuits In America Can Be Found In Washington
Seattle is probably the last place in Washington you'd expect to find a small, no-frills biscuit shop serving homemade, filling, reasonably priced biscuits and breakfast sandwiches. But that's exactly where you'll see Biscuit Bitch, which now has a total of three locations including their original spot near Pike Place Market.
This delightful breakfast spot has been featured on The Travel Channel and in the New York Times, and for good reason... it's incredible.
The original Biscuit Bitch location sits inside Caffe Lieto at 1909 1st Ave.
You'll find the other two locations in Pioneer Square (621 3rd Ave.) and Belltown (2303 3rd Ave).
Kimmie Spice is the owner here, or as she affectionaly refers to herself, the "Head Bitch."
When Kimmie opened her shop, she vowed that no customer would feel the "Seattle freeze." Kimmie is from the south, so she insists on southern hospitality at all times.
So, clearly the ambiance is perfect... but how are the biscuits, you might be wondering?
They're out of this world good.
These light, flaky biscuits are the real deal.
They're made fresh daily, and while the ingredients are all top quality, they are not "healthy." The point here is to splurge.
This is a Straight Up Bitch, available with sausage gravy or veggie mushroom gravy...
... and this glorious creation is a Hot Mess Bitch, and it's delightful.
It's a biscuit and gravy, eggs and garlic grits smothered in cheese, grilled Louisiana hot links and jalapenos.
Needless to say, you should only eat here if you have a sense of humor.
It's nearly impossible not to laugh when ordering these delicious biscuits.
Have you eaten at Biscuit Bitch? It's definitely one of the best breakfast spots in Washington. Here are some of our other favorites.
